With nearly 20 years of experience, Cortney Morgan has civil case trial experience from every perspective in the courtroom-- as plaintiff's counsel; as defense counsel; and as a magistrate. Cortney currently serves as a mediator for the Stark County Court of Common Pleas General Division where she mediates all types of civil disputes, including injury and other tort claims; contract disputes; real estate disputes; and consumer claims.
Cortney's private practice currently focuses on issues affecting children and employment litigation. Cortney is also a certified FINRA arbitrator.
Cortney received her JD, magna cum laude, from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2003 and her BA, cum laude, in International Studies from American University. Between undergraduate school and law school, she worked as a program analyst for the U.S. Department of Labor's International Child Labor Program.
Cortney also serves on the Board of No More Trafficking, a non-profit organization. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and going to concerts with her husband and four children.
